The mission of the Bloomfield Township Fire Department is to protect lives, property and the environment through prompt, skillful, innovative fire and life safety services with compassion and respect.
The Fire Department is located at the southeast corner of Andover and Exeter Roads, west of the Township Hall.
The Department was organized in 1930 and has become a full service fire department composed of 57 uniformed career firefighters and officers and one administrative assistant.
The public is always welcome to visit the Fire Department and is especially encouraged to attend the annual Open House held during the second week of October and the free CPR classes are held two times per year. The Fire Chief, Fire Marshal and other officers frequently attend neighborhood meetings and meet with community organizations to speak to residents and guests about fire safety and prevention and emergency medical services.
