Crash Reports
Those who have been involved in a traffic crash within Bloomfield Township will be able to download a copy of their accident report via the Oakland County CLEMIS website.
You will need the following information: Incident number and date of crash or your license number, date of birth and date of crash.
The online document management technology allows interested parties to view and download printable copies of accident reports 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Reports are usually available within 48 hours of the date the crash was reported. Instead of taking time to make a trip to the Police Department, residents will be able to order their report anytime, day or night.
There are a limited number of crashes that require investigation beyond the initial report. Additional information resulting from these investigations may not be available until such investigations are complete.
If you wish to purchase an accident report from the Records Unit of the Bloomfield Township Police Department you may still do so during normal business hours.
Public Records Request (FOIA Requests)
A Freedom of Information Act Request must be completed to obtain non-crash related police reports. You may submit your request for public records to our online portal. Records will respond to your request within 5 days and you will be notified of applicable fees.
Visit our request for public records page for more detailed information on the Township's FOIA Procedures and Guidelines.
