Join us at the Senior Center for an onsite monthly Caregiver Support Meeting

10-11 AM This supportive group for caregivers of someone with dementia, will help you learn practical caregiving information, get mutual support, learn about your local community resources and find solutions to challenging behaviors. 1-3 PM Enjoy welcoming monthly events at the Senior Center for individuals living with dementia and their caregivers, for a shared experience. Together you will enjoy games, music, art and pet activities as well as camaraderie and refreshments. Program content will vary by session. Educational Workshop Powerful Tools for Caregivers

Mondays
July 8-August 26
1-2:30 PM This 7-week educational workshop is designed to help family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a relative or friend. Topics include: communicating effectively with family and health care providers, reducing stress, feelings of guilt, anger, depression, making tough decisions, self-care and relaxation techniques. The final week will be a dementia simulation – Dementia Live which immerses participants into life with dementia. Complimentary workshop presented by AgeWays.
