Bloomfield Township Fire Department Charities brings back its "Fill the Boot" event. A staple since 2003, “Fill The Boot,” will have BTFD personnel and family members looking for donations to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). Chris Hull, President of BTFD Charities, says the BTFD “is a very family oriented organization, our families meet each other and become family.”
Volunteers will be spread throughout Bloomfield Township from 8:30am to 4:30pm on Wednesday, November 22, with main locations near the intersections of Maple Road/Lahser Road and Telegraph Road/Long Lake Road. You will see various helpers using actual firefighter boots to collect funds to benefit MDA’s mission to provide treatment for patients and support for their family members.
