At the August 14, 2023 Board of Trustees meeting, the board accepted the resignation of Treasurer Brian Kepes effective August 31, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.; and voted to appoint Trustee Michael Schostak as Treasurer effective immediately at that time.
Effective August 31, 2023, there will be a Trustee vacancy on the Bloomfield Township Board of Trustees. The Board is seeking a qualified candidate to fill this Trustee vacancy for a term of office that expires in November 2024.
The legal minimum qualifications require that you have resided in Bloomfield Township for no less than 30 days, that you are at least 18 years of age and that you are registered to vote in the Township. To be considered by the Township Board you must meet the minimum qualifications, and timely submit a letter of interest, a current resume, and written responses to a series of questions compiled by Board members. The list of questions to answer is below. The application items must be received by the Township Clerk’s Office no later than 5:30pm on Wednesday September 20, 2023.

The Board invites applicants to the regularly scheduled Board meeting of Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 7:00p.m. to address the Board for up to 3 minutes concerning their application. A verbal statement at this meeting is encouraged, but not required. The Board will review and consider information from all applicants and select a person to appoint.

- How do you perceive the role of today’s Trustee and are you available to prepare for and attend all meetings?

- Pursuant to statute, the Bloomfield Township Trustee is an elected partisan position. What is the history of your political involvement and your experience bridging differences and/or building consensus?
