We’re excited to announce the launch of the Bloomfield Township App! This app aims to bring the Township into your hands like never before with easy on-the-go access to services. The app can be downloaded for free in the App Store for iPhones and Google Play for Android.
Once on the home screen, you’ll see scrolling news items as well as four icons for Click and Report, Local Podcasts & Media, Senior Center, and Map. More options can be found in the “hamburger” menu (the three horizontal lines in the top left corner) such as Township News and the Budget Book.
Click and Report is one of the most notable features which allows residents the option to take a photo related to their question or concern and send it directly to the necessary department. Options include Safety Path Maintenance, Refuse & Recycling, Street Maintenance, Code Enforcement, and more! For example, if you see a tree limb or debris blocking a safety path on your morning walk, you can open the app, select Click & Report, then select Safety Path Maintenance. You have the option to select an image from your camera roll or take a photo in the app. An email will be generated to send to the Environmental & Engineering Services Dept. where you can include any relevant information such as the location on the safety path.
Additional features include the ability to listen to Podcasts produced by Bloomfield Community Television within the app or stream BCTV’s content as it airs including Board of Trustees meetings live! Selecting Senior Center allows you to see all upcoming events offered through the Senior Center including links to register.
