On Friday, October 24, 2025, the Bloomfield Township Senior Center will be offering flu shots - provided by University of Michigan Ambulatory Care Immunization. This event will run from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and appointments are required.
Per the Mayo Clinic, “Flu viruses change quickly. Last year's vaccine may not protect you from this year's viruses. New flu vaccines are released every year to keep up with rapidly changing flu viruses.”
Township Senior Services Director Christine Tvaroha adds, “Come get your flu protection and be sure to review all the other opportunities to connect, learn and improve your health.”
There are a limited number of flu shots available to Bloomfield Township residents 50+ years. Flu shots are free for seniors 65+ with Medicare B. Other participants’ shots will be billed to their insurance.
There will also be complimentary blood pressure checks by Senior Services’ volunteers. You can register by calling 248-723-3500. Proof of Township residency and a Medicare card will be required for your appointment on October 24.
The Bloomfield Township Senior Center is located at:
