Bloomfield Community Television held its first ever Sports Broadcasting Camp this summer. Students aged 13–18 had an opportunity to train with BCTV staff for one week before gathering to help broadcast coverage of the 6th Annual Keith Bernacki Cup – the annual matchup between Brother Rice and Seaholm High School. It was a wonderful way to host young people on the Township campus and utilize a community resource for students.
Students had an opportunity to run cameras, conduct interviews, commentate, and engineer in the production truck including technical direction and replay operation. Special guests in the industry came to speak with students and conduct questions and answer sessions.
If you feel your child may be interested in a future broadcasting camp, please contact the Cable and Community Relations Department!
