After last year’s triumphant return, the 2024 Bloomfield Township Open House returns on Sunday October 13, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Here is the perfect opportunity to see just some of the amazing services available here at the Township and meet a few of our dedicated employees – plus, donuts, popcorn and MORE!

In conjuncture with Fire Prevention Week 2024, every department will be represented to offer engagement, important information and giveaways. The biggest draws look to be the Fire Department and Police Department. Both will have much needed public safety information and demonstrations. BTFD will use a “Smoke House” to educate about fire prevention. BTPD will offer many activities including a dunk tank to benefit the Special Olympics. This is a chance to meet the first responders who serve your community and get to know them on a personal level.

This year will also see the return of the “Passport to Fun.” Coordinated by the Clerk’s Office, this activity provides kids with their own passport that they are encouraged to have stamped at each Township department. Once passports are complete with 10 stamps, residents can enter into a raffle for prizes that include dinner with BTFD and lunch with BTPD.

Additionally, you can look forward to:

New to the Open House experience this year will be the BCTV Performance Stage. Local artists will perform throughout the event. This stage will be a showcase for talent, both local and beyond our borders. Attendees will be able to enjoy dance troupes, musicians, as well as the return of the Bloomfield Hills High School Marching Band – making their first appearance since 2018. The stage will be emceed by Township resident and recent star of “47 Chairs,” Ziggy Klett.

There will also be a designated lot for food trucks, menus and pricing will be available the day of the event.

The Open House will take place at the Bloomfield Township Campus at 4200 Telegraph Road (just south of Long Lake Road). Open House parking will be available throughout the Township campus.
