Summer is a busy and exciting time. While many in our community enjoy warm sunny days, baseball games, cookouts, and graduations; this year we also celebrate the kick off to the community engagement portion of the Strategic Plan, release of the Bloomfield Township App, and the return of Food Truck Wednesdays.
Thank you to everyone who attended the in-person community forums, participated in the stakeholder interviews, took the online survey, and shared your suggestions and interests on the interactive social pinpoint website! Receiving input and fresh perspectives from a diverse collection of bright, passionate, caring minds helps to create our vision, mission, priorities, and will make this a meaningful and actionable plan.
There is still time to participate! If you have not already visited the social pinpoint website, you have until July 19th to go online and take the survey, share your ideas, and give your opinion on the comments left by others as well. There are many ways to find the survey including visiting the Township website and clicking the green banner on the home page. You can also visit bit.ly/BloomfieldTownshipStrategicPlan.
Additionally, BerryDunn has sent out a more comprehensive survey to a randomly selected sample of residents. Please do not discard this survey even if you already did the one online since it covers more topics and provides us a report that should accurately reflect the diverse viewpoints in our community.
With the launch of our Bloomfield Township App, you can stay connected even on the go, to Township news, events, maps, services, and you can reach out to us with pictures or videos from your phone too. Whether you are here in the area or on vacation, you can stay up to date. Although we are excited for the app, with user feedback and input, we can continue to improve the app based on your needs. So please download it on the App Store or Google Play today and get connected.
Finally, if you haven’t already heard, Food Truck Wednesdays are back!! Come join us every Wednesday from 11 a.m.–1 p.m. until August 21st for food, fun, and games. This is open to everyone so grab your friends, family, and coworkers to enjoy a new taste each week. With the second year you will see the addition of tents to help with shading and protection from the elements and games such as corn hole and a putting green. We are excited to see you there.
