On Friday, October 18, Preservation Bloomfield and the Friends of Preservation Bloomfield will host the Historical Haunts Dinner at the Chalmers Estate. Attendees have the rare opportunity to experience the century-old estate of auto baron, Hugh Chalmers in the thick of the Halloween season. A strolling dinner with live music will take place as the home is graciously opened by its current owners. A silent auction will contribute to the fundraising efforts, all of which support the board’s ongoing commitment to preserving and maintaining the Barton Farmhouse and Craig Log Cabin located at the Bowers School Farm in Bloomfield Township.
“We hope community members partake in this amazing opportunity to see a historic estate and learn more about preservation efforts in their community,” said Preservation Bloomfield Board President Michael J. Dul. Attendees can expect tales from the era to the present day, including some spooky stories as the Halloween holiday approaches.
Preservation Bloomfield is a non-profit, all-volunteer community organization formed to preserve and protect two historically-relevant homes in Bloomfield, Michigan.
Ticket information is available at Preservation Bloomfield Website.
