Clerk Martin Brook wants to recognize the voters and workers who participated in the Statewide General Election on November 8, 2022. “In addition to my 3 full-time staff, in excess of 200 local residents came together to make election day possible by their work in the precincts, on the absentee counting board, or receiving board,” said Brook. “Their dedication, hard work and professionalism set the tone for a successful election day! As for the voters, turnout was an astounding 67.4%. The last midterm election in 2018 had a similar turnout at 71.8%. And, it is interesting to note that the precinct and absentee voters were split nearly 50/50: 13,793 voted absentee and 12,216 voted in a precinct."
