Long Lake Road Sewer Replacement Schedule Extended
Long Lake Road to reopen by the end of year; restoration completed in Spring.
The Long Lake Road Sanitary Sewer Replacement is going to extend longer than originally anticipated. Current projections plan to see the sewer replacement work completed and Long Lake Road opened by the end of the year. However, restoration work such as the paving of the Pine Tree Trail and Groton Road approaches; replacement of the safety path along the south side of Long Lake; and replacement of the trees and grass will likely not be completed until Spring 2023. Soil conditions, the location of overhead utility lines, and the procurement of materials such as concrete and pipe are taking longer than in years past and prolonging the timeline.
Bloomfield Township realizes the project is a major inconvenience for residents and drivers during the road closure. Thank you for your patience and understanding over the course of this difficult project. Updates will continue to be shared on the Township eNewsletter, website and social media channels as they become available.
